Back to Vintage Mooney Group Home Page

I learned to fly while I was in High School, I figured it was the only science class I could pass, and have been flying ever since. I learned in a Cessna 150 and shortly after that I bought a Luscombe 8A and owned it up until last year. After buying 43N I only flew the Luscombe a few times, so I sold it.

Which brings me around to Mooneys, as a little kid I fell in love with them. I have pictures of myself on several Mooney wings before I was 10. I have flown every Mooney from a Mite through a K model and decided the vintage Mooneys were my cup of tea.

6843N is a 1968 C model and fits my needs perfectly as I fly solo or with one passenger most of the time. It has close to 2700tt now and was just over 2200tt when I bought it in Saint Louis MO. It is almost all original with the stock paint and interior still holding up well. The big change I made was to install new avionics as the original stuff was no longer legal, although it all worked well.

Future plans for it include repainting in the original scheme and colors and replacing the windows. Other than that all I want to do is fly it. It really is the best plane I ever owned and brings me a lot of pleasure and pride of ownership.
