Well we had made very informal plans to celebrate New Years Day at Harris Ranch.  The weather all week was most excellent.  But on the morning of New Years Day, the central valley of California was socked in with Tule Fog so we could not do that.  The rest of California was severe clear.  So with determination to have a fly-in, we chose an alternate of Oceano (at Mitch & Jolie's suggestion) and it was 75 degrees and completely clear.  We had a fried chicken lunch with potato salad, pasta salad, chips, cookies, fudge and more.  A great way to start 2009!  Here are some pictures.
