We flew back to South Lake Tahoe after a few years and it turned out to be a
great decision. Eighteen beautiful Mooneys carrying the best pilots
and passengers in the GA fleet descended to KTVL, nestled at 6269 ft.
On Friday evening, we all met at The Beacon for drinks and dinner on the
patio overlooking Lake Tahoe. Tony Rees, from Perth Australia, had
joined the group after surviving a flight in Phil & Linda's Eagle from Paso
Robles. Tony was the hit of the party, and the entire Fly-In.
On Saturday, more Mooneys arrived and Mountain West manager and Mooney Owner
Michael Golden, hosted everyone on the ramp with an outdoor BBQ. The
weather was immaculate again.
Saturday evening, we resurrected the VMG Pool Party at the LakeSide Inn.
Again the weather was spectacular. Everyone contributed food and
wine/beer and it was great.
See you at our
next fly-in!
