Back to Vintage Mooney Group Home Page

Well we had a great day with light winds for the trip over to our Kingman get together. About 19 planes and 35 people made it. Lots of hanger flying and aircraft gazing got done, with about half of our group checking out the museum before lunch.

Lunch was a fun subject with the restaurant crew being overwelmed with a group of our size -- took a while to put it nicely. After waiting about an hour and a half I saw my lunch on its way. John Chandler was standing between me and it wanting a group pic. The lunch won and poor John never got his group shot. Sorry John maybe next time.

The museum was also a treat. About half of us went after lunch and checked it out. Their group is trying real hard and I hope they make it as Kingman did serve an important roll during and after WWII.

The trip back to California was a little bumpy below 10,000 feet so most of us went up high with the added benefit of it being nice and cool.

Hope to see everyone's smiling face next month at El Monte.
